Fragment Analysis Facility
The Fragment Analysis Facility was established in 1994 to facilitate scientific research by providing technical assistance with low throughput genotyping and genomic DNA isolation.
The FAF offers genomic DNA isolation from whole blood, buffy coats, packed cells, cultured cells, blood spot cards, buccal swabs, mouthwash collection, Oragene saliva collection kits, and FFPE samples. FAF genotyping services include SNP analysis by Taqman, fluorescent fragment analysis for determination of STR or VNTR number, analysis of insertion/deletions, and SNP discovery by sequencing. Whole genome amplification, DNA archiving, and sample dispensing and shipping are also available.
